Enbridge adds 300 MW to Quebec's wind energy capacity
QUEBEC CITY, Sept. 19 () -- Energy company Enbridge says the inauguration of its Lac-Alfred wind farm in Quebec means more than 30 percent of its provincial energy comes from wind.Enbridge joined renewable energy company EDF EN Canada for the inauguration of the 300 megawatt wind farm. Built in two phases over the course of two years, the project represents an investment of approximately $700 million, the companies said.The Lac-Alfred wind farm consists of 150 turbines. It's the third such project to be placed into service through the partnership.
