Andy Murray passes Roger Federer for No. 2 in tennis; Djokovic No. 1
LONDON, May 13 () -- Andy Murray is back at No. 2 in the rankings and Stanislas Wawrinka returned to the Top 10 Monday when the men's tennis rankings were updated.Rafael Nadal defeated Wawrinka in Sunday's final at the Mutua Madrid Open but the runner-up finish was enough to boost him from 15th to No. 10 in the rankings. That's one place short of his career high, reached in June 2008.He has 2,675 rankings points, which is 25 more than Janko Tipsarevic, who slips form 10th to 11th this week.Murray's rise from third to second came about because of Roger Federer's surprising third-round loss in Madrid, where Federer was the defending champion. Murray, himself upset in the quarterfinals, has 8,750 points to 7,760 for Federer.Nadal, who has won five titles and finished second in his seven tournaments this year, remains at No. 5 in the rankings, although he's just 25 points behind No. 4 David Ferrer.Novak Djokovic officially passes Lleyton Hewitt for ninth place on the all-time list of weeks at No. 1 in the ATP rankings. Djokovic has led the rankings for a total of 91 weeks. Andre Agassi, with 101 weeks, has the eighth-most weeks at No. 1.Djokovic has 12,730 points, prada outlet, nearly 4,000 up on Murray, who has 8,750. Federer is third with 7,760 while Ferrer has 6,920 and Nadal comes in with 6,895.Tomas Berdych is sixth with 4,520,michael kors outlet, 200 more than No. 7 Juan Martin del Potro. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (3,965), Richard Gasquet (3,180) and Wawrinka, in order, complete the Top 10.All of the Top 10 players are entered in this week's Rome International tournament. Nadal beat Djokovic in last year's Rome final. Federer and Ferrer were the other semifinalists.
