Prior to Ignatieff's arrival,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Alghabra said the Liberal Party's agenda over the past two days has been to mobilize voters in a bid to recover lost ground.
Over the past few weeks the Liberals have watched their numbers fall to third place behind the NDP and Conservatives,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Ignatieff's message was that voters need to support the Liberals so they can maintain a strong presence in Parliament,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. He noted that the riding of Mississauga-Erindale is a representation of Canada and said the people living there have the power to change the outcome of the election,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
"This is Canada right in front of you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said Ignatieff. "Every race, religion, language and culture."
Catharinah Kim of Mississauga, an investigator with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, attended the barbecue to bring up the issue of immigration rights with Ignatieff.
Kim reminded the Liberal leader that she had sent him a letter calling on the Liberals to see that investigations into consultants alleged to have mistreated immigrants are carried through,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].

"I want to be sure the current complaints about consultants get the attention they deserve,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said Kim.
Ignatieff acknowledged receiving the letter but did not say how he would deal with the issue.
Before returning to the campaign trail he called on residents and supporters to knock on doors - including those with Conservative signs on their lawn - to tell them to get out and vote Liberal,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. He stressed that pollsters and pundits won't determine the results of tomorrow's federal election - the residents will.
