It's an interesting roster of films which are vying for the Oscar in costume design for films of 2009. Fashion Era: Edwardian to 1950sThe Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is the one exception within this group of nominees. It is a fantasy tale of victory over evil. A traveling show headed by a former monk who designed a deal with the devil in exchange for immortality finds himself trapped. This was Heath Ledger's final film performance. He died while in production and his role was divided among three other actors. It is a portrait with fantasy flashback elements,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], coping with 1960s Italian film director Guido Contini. The result is her romance and marriage to her husband Albert.
